I think the internet tools in the classroom course would be great for most folks trying to move into an instructional technology role, but I think for me the benefit was limited. I completely understand why the course work is structured the way it is, but for almost all of the tools we looked at, I have used or seen them in the past. This course did have some great tools into it, though.
To be an instructional technology coach you have to have a deep content knowledge of tools and resources because when you encounter a teacher with an issue, you have to be able to help them. The key is always continuing to learn. This course helps most to do that.
I actually really liked the structure of the class. Being able to go and explore tools and write reflections is always a good place to really start.
