Introduction

Picture
My name is David Lockhart, and I am in the Education Specialist Degree program in Instructional Technology at Kennesaw State University. I began the program Fall 2015 and will graduate Summer 2017.  I graduated from Morehead State University in 2003 with a Bachelor's degree in education, and I received my Masters in Instructional Technology from Lesley University in 2011 . Immediately after graduation, I began teaching high school history in Virginia. After three years in Virginia, I moved to Georgia where I taught for four years at Wheeler High School and for three years and two months at North Atlanta High School.
I am currently an Education Technology Specialist with KSU's Iteach Center. After working with members of the Instructional Technology Department, I knew KSU's program is where I needed to be. My ultimate goal is to continue down the path I have started in education technology, and be able to take advantage of the opportunities that come my way. I plan to continue with my education by pursuing my doctoral degree in Instructional Technology at KSU.
The purpose of this portfolio is for me to demonstrate mastery of the PSC Instructional Technology standards and the ISTE NETS-C standards. As you can see, there are a series of links above my photo that you can visit. Of particular importance is the "standards" link. Under this link, you will see a series of artifacts and reflections documenting the important work I have completed during this program. Each artifact represents mastery of the standard under which it is represented.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Kennesaw State University, and feel that I am well-prepared to integrate technology into my classroom and to assist other educators in using technology and providing professional learning opportunities for them.
